About the Fundraiser
The 2018 PTO Fall Fundraiser at Veteran’s Memorial Elementary is about building paths to greatness at our school, in our community, and in our nation. Your donation will provide new resources in every VME classroom – learning-based iPads and fully-stocked reading libraries. It will also support other meaningful events where children explore the “Leader In Me” through hands-on and social settings all year long, such as:
We have purposefully designed our own “Unleash Greatness” Donation Campaign aligned with key strategic goals at Veterans Memorial. We have opted out of the typical ‘door-to-door’ campaigns —- walkathons, selling food kits, gift wrap, magazine subscriptions and so on ——- thereby ensuring 100% OF YOUR DONATION DIRECTLY BENEFITS THE CHILDREN AND SCHOOL with enrichment programs and other enhancements.

Every person who donates to the campaign through direct donation or financial participation in the Family Fun Lab on October 23rd, will be entered to win 2 FREE PASSES TO UNIVERSAL ORLANDO! Free Pass winner will be drawn at the Oct. 23rd event, and winner need not be present to win.

During this phase of the campaign, we focus on introducing the theme and fundraiser to students and their immediate families, educating them to support their students’ endeavors by giving generously.

We continue our focus by asking parents what they have done to support a Path to Greatness recently, and introducing new ‘girl power’ imagery to the campaign.

Now extending our outreach further, we begin to look at ways to engage friends and extended family in funding a path to greatness. We featured special materials for the “Dudes & Donuts” event on Take your child to School Day.
